I bought this tent for a 3 week long motorcycle trip to Alaska and it preformed great. The water proofing kept everything inside of the tent dry even while setting up and breaking down the tent durring multiple days of rain.features that impressed me:1) this is definitly a 2 person tent not one of those claimed 2 person tents where you have to spoon with the other person all night long to fit.2) each person has there own exit so you don't have to crawl over someone to get out in the middle of the night.3) The vestabules can be rolled up and out of the way if you don't want to stake them down and even when they are rolled up the rain fly still keeps the tent dry when it rains (probably not if the wind is blowing also though). When they are out they can cover lots of gear.4) you can actualy break down the tent and roll it up under the rain fly to keep it dry if you are tearing down when it is raining (this takes some extra work but it is worth it to keep your tent dry if you have to set it back up the next night). I did this and then stored the rain fly separate from the tent so that the water would not transfer onto the tent when all rolled up.

I used this tent for a 3 week expedition in the Henry's in Utah and in the Utah desert during the spring. The tent is very water proof. I experienced 50 mile per hour gusts all night one night and it withstood it where other tents seems started to tear, but my tent poles did get slightly bent. The tent is a little heavy to haul around on your back for miles upon miles but the huge vestibules make up for it in keeping your gear out of rain and snow. It is a 3 season tent so I wouldn't use it in extreme arctic conditions but it does well in some snow. Make sure you use a footprint or a tarp underneath it to prolong the life and keep it waterproof when the ground is wet. One problem is the grommets are light duty prolly aluminum and one bent and came off the same day. They make repair kits but i just wrapped them in duck tape and poked holes in them to allow the tent poles to work. I couldn't replace them while i was in the back country so it worked well and didn't cost anything. I prolly won't bother replacing them because it functions fine now. Good overall tent at a good price. For the price you can't beat the materials and water proof coat rating.

This tent offers me everything I was looking for! I purchased this to use on my backpacking trips in the backcountry. I am no professional camper but I know what I'm looking for in a tent. Although this tent may be slightly heavier than some comparible tents, it offers plenty of room for two. The price is right in my opinion for a tent that offers so much protection. I am 6ft 1in tall and around 170lbs and I don't feel cramped inside the tent. This tent offers excellent rain protection with an incredibly thick full coverage rain fly, and a thick floor below. The vestibules offer ample room for both hikers gear and allows you to climb into the vestibule in a rainy situation and have the ability to remove your shoes and gear without getting the interior of the tent wet and dirty.I have laid down in the vestibule to check for space before and if someone needed to sleep under it for any reason, it could be done by someone my size (on my side with legs slightly bent) or a somewhat shorter individual than myself.
