This tent is made for backpacking. While camping in Shawnee national forest the tent stayed relatively warm during 20 degree nights. And while camping in Valentine the tent stayed dry during 100 degree days with 60 degree nights. The tent is plenty light for backpacking and easily fits inside of the included stuff sack. Set-up is a extremely easy and I can usually accomplish a set up or tear down in under 5 minutes. When camping at above tree-line in the wind river range the tent held up to strong winds and rain; and if needed the tent plenty of guy out points.I am 6' 2" and can lay almost completely straight in the tent. As far as two person, the tent easily sleeps me and my pack but without the vestibule the tent would not fit packs and two people.Nit picks,The tent floor is rather thin and the foot print is no betterZippers on tent body feel rather flimsy but I have no reason to doubt them as of yet.The swivel on the poles also feels rather flimsy but again I have no reason to doubt it.In North Dakota when temperature swung from 80 to 38 condensation formed on the inside of the tent however the rain fly was on.

It has one or two shortcomings, but overall this tent comes highly recommended for backpacking trips. I have used it through some very windy, rainy, and cold nights, so I feel I can give it a fair assessment.Pros: - It's lightweight and compact, yet it stands sturdy and holds firmly when set up properly. Compresses like a champ in a compression sack (less the poles and stakes). - Zip off door and small vestibule offer some customization depending on your needs. Additional items offered separately offer even more. - Quick set up time. The jake's feet and pole structure are great. Not a big learning curve for using them at all. Remember black poles go in the back and you're good to go. - Holds up very well to both high wind and heavy rain.Cons: - While certainly well constructed, the tent material is definitely thin. The floor in particular and area around the zipper are the primary concern. The separate footprint helps, but it has the same core issue.- Because the material is so thin, there has been a number of times where I have had to very carefully coax part of the rainfly back out of the zipper. Not fun when it's pouring. No holes to speak of, but it does call for some extra care. - I have experienced a bit of condensation here and there, but that is the trade off for some ventilation in the rear of the tent. It also depends which entry system you are using. I opted to spring for the extras, so I also have the trekking pole vestibule, the pawprint, the foot print, and the gear loft.I have had 2 adult males in the tent twice. One of those times included 2 therm-a-rest airpads. It can be done, but the trekking pole vestibule is a must if 1-2 packs will also be on hand. Certainly tight under those circumstances, so you're either touching the side of the tent or you're shoulder to shoulder.When all is said and done, I think it's a good option when weight, functionality, and flexibility are important. I trust the tent, and while it isn't perfect, I know I can sleep soundly through whatever nature sends my way. It's an even better backpacking tent for 2 people with the add ons, but as is, I think it's still a good value for 1 with the occasional 2 tossed in as needed. Be mindful when buying accessories. This is the Nemo Espri 2p, not to be confused with the more recent Nemo Espri 2p LE. It has undergone some dimension changes over the last 3 years and I ended up finding that out the hard way. The accessories are not interchangeable. Also, note that that the tent has been discontinued by Nemo. The trekking pole vestibule for the 2p is getting harder to find because of this. Make sure you can get any accessories you might be considering before you decide to buy the tent.Included a few images for a visual.
