When I rolled up the tent some of the floor(which is woven tarp material) was flaking off, no big deal but may leak water. To weigh it I used a good kitchen digital scale, max 6.6 lbs. The tent weighed exactly 3.0 lbs after I put it back in the bag with stakes. It might weigh 2.6 lbs without the stakes.. The poles performed well, shockcorded. I had no problems putting it up or taking it down. The screen mesh is not no-see-um but adequate for bugs. There is a rain flap on the zipper. For rain the top fly could be pinned down with safety pins and the rain would not be blown inside. My alternative would be a mylar bivy sack which weighs 2.5 oz. I will wait and see as I try it to see if it's worth the extra weight. You can only kneel down inside, you would have to get dressed laying down. I will add to this review as I use it. ThanksI figured I would post the weight of the tent less stakes and the stakes themselves.Tent less stakes is 2.675 lbsstakes alone with bag 5.2 oz or 0.325 lbs

I bought the tent based on three criteria: can fit me who's just under 6' tall; cheap; lightweight as possible. Based on those criteria, this tent delivers. I was expecting to have to sleep in it diagonally, but I fit lengthwise which I can have a similarly-sized guest. Yes, it's cheap, and there's definitely a sense that I got what I paid for. Right out of the box there are some split seams on the carrying case, though the tent itself is so far intact. The floor is standard tarp material and is thicker and sturdier than I was expecting. Regarding weight, I chose this one over a handful of similar competitors based on the 2.6 pounds advertised weight. I only got 2.6 after removing the tent pegs which add another .35# or so. I figure I won't need them as this tent is for emergencies only, not intended to stay standing while I'm away from it. It met my expectations; so far, so good.
